Total Immersion is excited to release an updated and combined course for advancing coaches to Senior level. This course includes all content from the Expert Skills and Smart Speed Coach certifications. Skill work will improve the swimming of coaches present, in addition to raising the level of their coaching toolkit in many areas.  Coaches completing this course will develop skill-sequencing, Helping Hands (manual assistance) techniques, video analysis, and in-pool demonstration for the following skill areas:

  • Expert Catch-and-Press
  • Expert 2-Beat Kick
  • Expert Breathing
  • Turns/Pushoff/Breakout.

In addition, your coaching planning and swimmer development will train in new focus for:

  • Development of expertise in combining Stroke Length and Stroke Rate, via SPL and Tempo
  • How to use drills and whole stroke activities to create a customized Practice, and how to compose a series of practices and assessment swims into a personalized Path for each student which enables them to achieve their specific swimming goals.
  • How to use the Green Zone stroke counts, Tempo, test or assessment swims, training sets based on problem-solving exercises, and Improvement Projects to create customized and personalized training plans for each student.
  • Development of gears for yourself, and your swimmers. Using technique prioritization, tempo management, and strategies for breathing, kicking, and overall flow, you'll be able to coach your swimmers to unique planning for each speed and technical goal.
