Group Lessons For Kids

Learning to swim – as with any new experience – asks a child to stretch their boundaries. While some may learn quickly and effortlessly, those who need more encouragement and patience will receive it. TI instruction has proven better than any other at easing the learning experience for all types of students and our young students have responded enthusiastically to leaning in the Endless Pools.

Water Safety at Total Immersion

The Total Immersion Swim Studio educates children and adults on drown prevention and water safety. We want to get the word out to kids and parents about the importance of water safety awareness using the Safer 3 water safety program. This colorful program introduces kids to some simple rules that can help keep them safer around water and offers parents some guidelines for supervising their children and maintaining a safe environment.

The program urges kids and parents to follow the Safer 3:

Safer Water- Install, maintain and utilize proper fencing, gates, gate latches, alarms and other safety equipment around the pool. The use of multiple layers of protection can significantly reduce pediatric pool drownings and near-drownings.

Safer Kids- Employ constant adult supervision and swim skill attainment through on-going qualified instruction. Learn proper behavior in and around the water. A child should never be considered or treated as “water-safe”. This can cause a false sense of security and lack of supervision.

Safer Response- Learn CPR, first-aid, and rescue techniques. Keep an emergency action plan and phone by the pool at all times. Teach children what to do in case of an emergency.

Free Water Safety Presentation
Invite the Safer 3 to your school, library or daycare!

Our drown prevention program offers libraries, schools and daycares a 30 minute presentation geared toward children ages 3-5 along with an activities sheet and a handout for parents. Our presentation is free and can be scheduled at your convenience. Call the Swim Studio for more information (845)255-4242.
