I'm doing or feeling my way through stroke and focus variants and usually that leads to me seeing what other ways of describing things were trying to communicate. Which leads me to yesterday's insight, and this feels really un-TI. I focused the TT on my catch or rather upon the completion point of my catch. It had an astonishingly powerful effect. I'll post about it but re this thread's topic, it REALLY showed me the roll-over-point which IS core TI stuff. All roads lead to Rome my friend :)

![]() Hello Talvi,
what's un-TI in that? One of Terry's hints is to put the TT's beep to various points of the stroke cycle and stay attentive what happens (or what feels different)... If I understood right, that's exactly what you did. So go on and enjoy! Best regards, Werner PS: Thanks for your kind private message! |

![]() I'm glad what I'm saying is not-un-TI as I feel guilty that my experience does not match what it's supposed to. My goals were TI's perhaps even before I found TI so I have always been deeply attached to it, and feel my failure to repeat its expected (and promised) results deeply too.
Trying to feel the ball of water or the anchor etc I have always averted my eyes from the sub-phase of the stroke I'm referring to here. That has meant denying what I actually feel in the water. Giving myself permission to focus on what I feel rather than looking to feel something other people feel seems to have liberated me to develop that key moment in the stroke cycle and so to integrate it.
