![]() Trying to get a consistent cadence for 1000 yds. so I recently purchased the Finis metronome but I have to have it directly over my ear to hear it. The only way to do this is by placing it under my swim cap making it too uncomfortable to use.
I really need a metronome with an earbud but can't find anything out there. Any suggestions? |

![]() I use a TT and I clip it onto my goggle strap, so that is an option. WFEGb is on this forum and he has developed louder tones for people with hearing problems. Send him a personal message and maybe what he has might be of use for you.

![]() I don't have the full list, but have Werner's tempo tunes from 1.14, 1.20, 1.25, 1.30, 1.35 and 1.40 (seconds per stroke). Download here: http://tinyurl.com/tempo-tunes
These are low frequency tunes you load into a waterproof mp3 player. Those with some hearing damage have difficulty hearing the higher frequency "beep" from the tempo trainer, but easily hear the low frequency version. Drop Werner a line and let him know where you're from and that you are using or tried using the tunes he put together - and of course say thanks. WFEGb@t-online.de Stuart |

My hearing is good, but the noise of exhaling bubbles overwhelms the metronome. I exhale thru my mouth. Maybe thru my nose would be quieter? |

![]() You can also try directly over ear, buttons/face toward the ear
