![]() I read the report from this committee. I'll post it here. I was encouraged that they made a start, but disappointed that the prohibition for holding races in warm water was too conservative.
They will only prohibit races longer than 5K in water warmer than 87. Since Fran Crippen died of heat exhaustion in water that was 85-86 I consider that a timid standard.

![]() Today's coach bulletin from USA swimming stated that they were reconsidering the national championships in Fort Lauderdale in June because of water temperature.
