![]() I''l be so free to start a new thread with the last post from coach shinji on 'the shinji 9 stroke very helpfull thankx! thread'
It 'll be interesting digging this one up again at the end of this year and see what has become of us. Quote:
> strenghten my right kick and my role to the left site. > getting the early vertical forarm into my system > be able to swim 15 minutes correctly without stopping and without being out of breath, including flipturns without nose clip (and no water up my nose...:)) > and when summer comes I want to give the open water a try (the sea in my case) so, who's next?

![]() Nice post robv and Shinji.
Robv, > getting the early vertical forarm into my system > be able to swim 15 minutes correctly without stopping and without being out of breath, including flipturns without nose clip (and no water up my nose...:)) > and when summer comes I want to give the open water a try (the sea in my case) These are great targets for me too. Especially swimming 15 minutes without stopping and EVF. I also want to breath bilaterally. Should I start breathing excersices first? Let's wait and see... Good luck all! |

![]() I just learned how to swim (about 2 months ago) at the age of 51.
My goals: To learn the TI way and go the length of the pool in a decent amount of strokes. It currently takes me about 40 some strokes! To not feel so self-conscious around other swimmers. Stretch goal: Learn to breath w/o the aid of a Swimmer's Snorkel. Last edited by joeintx : 01-07-2009 at 05:46 PM. |

![]() I resolve to:
Make time to stretch my shoulder and chest muscles at least once during the workday. Do a weight room workout at least once a week. Go back to single lengths the minute my stroke count creeps up, instead of continuing to try to do 100, or 50, or whatever it was I was doing. Finally learn to flip turn consistantly. |

![]() Complete a 200 fly in a meet. For me that means be able to maintain
1. landing forward for 200yds 2. keep head in line (not drop it too far) for 200 yds Race a 50yd free sub 30.00 Race 400IM sub 6:00 I call these goals more than resolutions. I will probably race the 200 fly on Feb 7. I hope to be able to schedule the 50 and 400IM at Pacific Short Course championships in April. |

![]() I'll resolve to:
* Keep on track in my practice towards 'cruising' a 7:00 min. or less 500yds. * Get my backstroke feeling as rhythmic and easy as my free (plus turn). * Get to Lake Minnewaska at least once. * Practice in OW and enter an OW event. Cheers |
