OWS Goggles

I can understand the appeal of the Swedish goggles. I've never been able to get them to seal properly, so they're not an option for me.

Before I got the Sables, I was using Speedo Vanquishers. Those lasted maybe 3 months before they became unbearably foggy. Even when they were new, I always wanted to lift them up when I was talking to someone.

My current pair of Sables has about 500 miles (10 months) on them. They are not as clear as they were when they were new, but still better than a new pair of Speedos. Eventually, the rubber gaskets harden, and the seal weakens. When that happens, they need to be replaced.

Even in the US, it's not easy to get your hands on a pair. Whenever the local triathlon shop gets a new shipment, they have a waiting list. People hoard them.

Here in Scottsdale, the Sable goggles are a pretty common sight. When they first came out, though, they drew a lot of attention. People were always coming up to me to ask about the goggles, and they thought I was some kind of big deal swimmer (hahaha).

You'll become famous, I told you. Goggles are just the beginning ;-)

I have gotten other Aqua Spheres, but really like the Seal. Yes, it's big and perhaps not as hydro-dynamic (is that a word), but the comfort is great as it does not ride on the orbital socket of your eye.
