Default Swimming Trenches - Any experience

Has anyone ever swum in a really narrow pool (see photo)? basically something approaching full length but only about 1-1.5m wide, a personal training lane in other words.

Something like this might be a possibility in the house I am buying as it has an odd strip of land about 2.5m wide at the side of the property that runs the length of the whole plot so could fit a 25m pool in as long as it was super narrow.

Are there any design features I should think of to avoid serious waves from such a narrow 'box'? (e.g. some sort of overflow and return to absorb the wake water and stop it returning)

What would be the minimum depth and width suggestions for flip turns and 4 stroke training?

Would this be a more enjoyable solution than an endless pool?
