Sad news - RIP Terry

Terry's biggest inspiration over the years in my view was the possibly unintended outcome, in the early days, of bringing together the vaste community of solo training swimmers. Those outside the club system.

They found a shared voice from Terry on 'how to do this seemingly impossible task - of staying alive in water; of being able to move through the water without sinking; of keeping going longer than a few minutes; of going faster for less effort; how to win races as an older swimmer :)

Of course many will remember the 'golden days' advice from Terry.
- "get that swimming downhill feeling"
- "front quadrant swimming"
- "start swim races slowly and 'softly softly catchee monkey...'"
