Thanks for your comments. I totally agree with everything you said. I have had some difficulty in maintaining a streamline position when swimming. When I saw Andy's advice about practicing a streamline push off, I thought it might help me get the feel of streamline while swimming as well as the push off. Since I have been practicing this, my spl has become lower and also more consistent.

I was introducing a slight flutter kick at the very end to prevent my feet from sinking as I lost velocity. But I would guess that the reason you suggest a modified dolphin kick is that the flutter kick probably adds more drag than the dolphin kick. I don't yet know how to dolphin kick, but i should probably learn it.

while this is a promo video, it is "in the family" and Terry has several additional tips even in this short clip. at :58 & beyond there are several shots of Terry doing a full balanced wall pushoff, maintaining momentum at the first stroke.

Thanks! I was going to look for it, but having it spoon fed to me right here and now is a great convenience, just at the right moment I need it!
