![]() I am a person who gives importance to my health. But now due to work pressure and lack of time I am not able to go to the gym. One of my friends then suggested that swimming is a good exercise which will make you relaxed. I just googled to get more details about it. Then I came across an interesting article that describes benefits of swimming(http://www.soldapools.com/blog/servi...fits-swimming/). The article also says that swimming can reduce the joint pain, cholesterol level and make your body more flexible. But I am not very sure about it. Is it really true? Is swimming really a very good exercise? Can it reduce your body weight and make you relaxed from stress and tension? What are all the exercises that can keep your mind and body healthy?
Waiting for your valuable suggestions. |

![]() Hello paultorresk,
wellcome in the TI-Forums! Have a look through the threads just in this forum (and the others too). All your questions will have a clear YES as answer... some with a really tiny added "but..." I'd suggest: Give TI and "our" world of swimming a try. Surely you can not lose anything, but you can gain an infinite amount for your body and your life! Best regards, Werner |

![]() I swim for exercise. I have tried riding a bicycle, power walking and jogging. For me, swimming is MUCH better. Not only am I using muscles from all over my body, rather than just legs or arms, but I feel much better when I swim. Swimming clears my mind, so any stress that I may have when I get in the water is gone when I get out. My energy level when I am not swimming is high and I have noticed that, at least for me, it pumps endorphins. As a result, my overall mood has generally improved.
So yes, give it a try. You will not be disappointed |

![]() Swimming is an outstanding aerobic exercise that works out the whole body and has a low bearing on joints.
I think that it works well as long as a few basic teachings are recognized. I believe that swimming to lose weight works as long as the main described earlier are observed. |
