Default Left stroke makes head go underwater

My whole backstroke feels great after working thru the entire Backstroke DVD. I can now do back forever (without cheating and pulling on the lap rope now and then to keep up.....)

I can't figure out why my head goes underwater when I stroke on my left side (just after my arm passes my head I think). I concentrate on my balance and keeping my head back in the water and I feel the same with both arms. But over and over again my head goes underwater only when I stroke on the left side. I do feel the great weight switch propulsion on each side.

Any ideas? (I know I need to get a video of it)

It's possible you may be rotating more on the left side or your recovery is slower on that side both of which could cause you to sink a little.

Thanks Daveblt. I had a chance to experiment and I definitely think it has something to do with recovery timing. I might have discovered something really important, but I will wait to talk about until I've had a bit more time with it.
