I am a big fan of the 2XU gear. I have used multiple pieces of gear both in the pool and in open water without the soggy diaper feeling. One thing I will caution on is not to wear speedos and then try to run or bike any distance afterwards. Even with body glide they will start to chafe. One option you may look at is to buy a pair of jammers made for swimming. They should act like compression shorts for the run. If you are not looking at cycling, why get a pair of tri shorts or cycling shorts.
