I wish TI would put up a detailed tutorial on how to post on the forums. I see posters doing things and using posting techniques I do not know how to do.

Just one example. I see posts where snips of quotes from different people's posts are included in gray background. How do they do that?

OK--one more. A reference to a video will include the word "here", and "here" will be in blue. Clicking on it will take you to the video link. How do they do that?

I believe that forum participation would be increased if a tutorial would educate us with this type of information.

Note that when you click QUOTE a box appears with the original material bracketed by two quote commands.

The start quote command that has two brackets [] containing the "quote=name;# .......
The end quote command [/] containing a slash followed by the word quote.

Between those two commands all material is quoted. If you want to break up quoted text as seen here you must insert the command manually at the head and end of each segment of text that you wish to quote.
(After the first quoted portion, use only the word "quote" in brackets to START a quote. There's no need for the name and number.)

Mouse over each item on the menu bar to see a pop up of what each icon does. One has small globe and link graphics. That is the INSERT LINK icon. Click it and a box will appear where you can insert an http:// address which will be seen in blue.

I never did work out how to delete a post. I realize I can't now as there have been responses.

The Edit button actually has a tooltip on it that says "Edit/Delete" - but after that stage I saw no way to delete.

Much obliged Borate---printed out your replies for future use. Still wish they would put up a tutorial. New questions will continue to pop up.
