Default Training for Swimming Marathon

good morning, I am new to this site / forum.
I am an accomplished swimmer, having swam competitively for many, many years. I have also done a few marathons and triathlons in the past, but due to knee surgery, no longer will run long distances, so, back to where I started, hours and meters in the pool.

I am contemplating the Tampa Bay Swim Marathon next year, 2011. Currently am swimming about 5K 5 days per week, combo of speed work and endurance swims. I am looking for training programs / assistance to refocus on swimming a marathon.

Any help / advice is greatly appreciated.

You should contact TI coach Dave Cameron. He has done a number of long distance swims, including the English Channel twice. He also trains swimmers for those types of swim.

His email is davidccameron AT hotmail.com (change the "at" to "@" when emailing him.
