Default Da How To?

Here I go again and this should be simple. Can someone explain how to get the quotes from another post into one you are composing? I see it done all the time and it would be very helpful in some of the responses I write. Thanks to all.

Just hit the "quote" button of the post that you want to use. You should see the quote enclosed by brackets ([quote=westyswoods] and the quote text which you can edit down to what you want to keep. When you done writing you hit the submit button or the preview button (if you want to look at it before it goes out). Of course this happens in IE. If you are using some other browser, then the quote button may not be available or visible.
