![]() I found a good drill focus today during some 100m repeats.
I focused on mirroring my XY position from my lead hand (after breath) to my follow hand. I then changed it to do 1 pair of strokes with a higher than natural spear, 1 pair lower than natural spear and then 2 pairs with ideal position spear. This is to raise awareness of where the hands are going each time and to check that I am holding a horizontal line in the water by keeping spear and rotation even on each side. Once I got used to the drill I tried to improve it further by noticing the tile movement speed at different positions, high, natural and low. |

![]() Love it! I had my college tri swimmers do something similar but not nearly so controlled. they are still finding their parallel tracks but i encouraged them to experiment and they did a great job. Similar to this, i'll keep this in mind.
