![]() they look ok, I've seen them before.
In Norway security is never an issue so you can just leave your bag on the side of the lake with phone car keys and everything in it and not worry about it but I guess here in the UK on the beach I'll need a different plan. |

![]() Andy, I may just be getting what you've been saying! Yesterday I swam a 3km session in the pool, finishing with a 1600m interval. I stopped because I ran out of time. The first 100m interval was at < 2:00 pace at ~36stk/min and ~18spl. The last 1600 was at roundabout 2:40 pace ~32stk/min ~20spl. My performance figures are gtting worse and worse, but then again I do feel in very good condition today, had no muscle aches etc last night.
I was looking at your sig figures and wondering whether what you think is the reason that, roughly speaking, it seems that your short distance pace has stayed the same/increased and your long distance pace has decreased. Kind regards and a Merry Christmas to you and yours :)

![]() Talvi,
The first two years in Norway, the lanes were so busy I did a lot of 50m sprints, as I could co-ordinate my start with the line of traffic Since moving back to the UK I've done more endurance/ aerobic sets, I think I just need to swim them a bit nearer my limit to improve next year e.g. seasons best +- 5% not plus 10% |
