I just read a post by Shinji Takeuchi on his Facebook page about the passing of Terry Laughlin.

It's a sad day. Terry gave me one of best presents of my life which is for good: the love for swimming. I could never thank him enough for this.

Salvo

In his blogs, Laughlin recounted his most memorable swimming experiences. “They happened in swimming treks – swims that belong on any swimmer’s bucket list. During these I explore a part of Planet Water to which access is granted to only a few. Think of these as a swimmer’s Mount Everest – one that puts you in far more exclusive company , at the fraction of expense, and no risk of falling into a crevasse or being caught in an avalanche. Such an experience is made far richer when shared with friends in a beautiful natural setting.”

Sad day indeed. If not for him i would not have developed my love for swimming.

He presented me with a gift that has profound impact on my remaining life. i can't thank him enough.

He shall be remembered by many for a long time.

My condolences to his family.

Rest in Peace Terry.
I've found TI by way of Shinji's Youtube video, but Terry's explanation, always clear, easy to understand even for non-native english speaker like me which pave the way for my bit by bit improvement in freestyle. Ive got still long long way to go, but hopefully with the kaizen attitude it will improve.

I too send my heartfelt condolences to his family. Even though I never personally met him, he played an enormous role in my life, for which I will be eternally grateful.
