Some, are more of the analysing type though.

To gather these details you have to feel differences. You can't feel the differences if you don't have a stable basic. If every stroke in your swimming feels different because the basic is not set, how could you feel differences between different kick timings? The moment you concentrate on kick timing the whole stroke will fall apart.
