Feet too high?

Hey guys!
I've been swimming for about three months using the TI method. One thing I've noticed is that I was keeping my head too low which was making breathing uncomfortable. I've made an adjustment by raising my head which seems to keep me relaxed more. One thing that I've noticed for myself, however, is that even with my head raised, my lower body seems too high on the surface. I'm doing the 2 beat kick but sometimes my kick breaks the surface. Has anyone else run into this?

Terry used to use the term "swimming downhill" to describe the sensation many people felt when they learned to be balanced in the water, since they were so used to swimming in an uphill position that a horizontal body position felt downhill to them. But he later abandoned the term because it caused some people to go too far and actually start swimming with their shoulders lower than their hips! (In fact, I once had a student who, on his first lesson, had an enormous amount of trouble keeping his legs up, but who, after he mastered balance, went so far the other way that he was literally swimming downhill, ending up at the bottom of the pool!)

The standard remedy, if you find this happening, is to raise your leading arm a bit to bring yourself into balance.
