Please permit me to share nearly similar experience. Post retirement, I decided
to pursue sports and fitness activity through long distance running. I ran
quite a few marathons. I followed Danny Dreyer’s ChiRunning technique. However,a fatal road traffic accident rendered me completely immobile. Post multiplesurgeries and Total-Hip-joint-Replacement and rigorous physiotherapy, I was back on the roads However, I was advised by doctors not to run anymore.

That was when; I too came across video dialogue between Danny and Terry -the
two passionate maestros in their field of sports activity, innovators and the
noblest human beings. I followed almost all videos shared by Terry on YouTube,
purchased soft copies of self-help coaching lessons and started practicing them
while swimming. I have miraculous recovery, regained mobility and progressing
well in TI guided free-style swimming.

Thank you Terry Laughlin, Sir, for showing me a way to survive and live life to
its full extent. I haven’t met Terry, but I always feel his presence at the
pool, feel his loving touch and words of encouragement. May Gold rest his soul
in eternal peace!

I’ve been able to do things I never thought I’d be able to, thanks to T.I.. I think Terry’s genius was in breaking down the swim strokes into their smallest parts and then adding them to each other, one at a time, to construct the whole stroke. It’s so much easier and more logical than the traditional teaching method of having the student try to learn everything all at once.
