Hi, I recently had a coaching session in London where I asked the coach to teach me a two beat kick. He taught me that it should be 2 fast kicks (the per foot) as each hand enters the water (I. E. Right hand enters, kick kick, left hand enters, kick kick).
This sounds completely different to what is described above and I'm finding it very difficult and unco - ordinated to do. Kicking twice with each band entry makes rotation very difficult.
Is this a genuine kick option, or is this an error?

Well put! I've just completed lessons 1-6 on the DVD, and being a swim novice, it's been quite a struggle, but I think for the most part it's because the two beat kick is being introduced too late. My legs have been a major concern all through the lessons, but I haven't known what to do with them, and I've struggled with getting a food flow in the water. Hopefully your tips can make the whole thing better! Thanks!

Totally agree Ryan.I've been practising TI for about 12 months, from the earlier videos, culminating in a TI weekend clinic in Brisbane,in July.No one really emphasised the 2 beat kick at the clinic, and it wasn't till I recently bought Terry's "Perpetual motion in ten lessons",where he devotes a whole lesson to the kick, that I began practising the kick. I feel the toe flick triggers the whole hip-turn/stroke cycle.
Regards, Jim.
