Terry,
I teach a basic motorcycle course and part of our instruction is chunking. I have been teaching for 16 years but recently we went to an updated program and the term chunking was introduced. I have to admit that you have a better way of explaining it and in a way that is clear and concise, just as everything to do with Total Immersion. Since being introduced to TI, I have completed a full Ironman race and swam a 10k. I always recommend TI to everyone who asks and now I can send motorcycle students here to read about chunking as it applies to other areas of life, like swimming. Thank you for making swimming a joy rather than just a workout!

Hi Terry, I often struggle with how to describe to the medial education group I work with why education theory is important to practice let alone how to apply theory to practice. You provide a thoughtful and well articulated example. I may use it in my teachings! Stay well. Elaine.

Hello Terry - your reference to 'chunking' is wonderful. Chunking is considered very critical in 'learning how to learn' and you have brought that ability to swimming!

God bless you!
