Hi Louis,
Absolutely great workout. Worked for me too! From 20 to 13 (25m) in 15 minutes. When swimming laps I was able to keep it in 14-15 for the rest of my workout. Thanks!

Hi Louis,

I've found this article yesterday. I wasn't sure the drill would work because as you say I know the desired result. But today I gave it a try and it was incredible. I made it from 24 strokes to 13 in 10 minutes!

Later in the workout as I was getting fatigued the stroke count went to 15-16 per 25 meters. But I didn't care because I came from an average of 24.

I'm still trying to figure out where's the trick and what I did different of what I've been doing before. I think it's all about the body and arms position but the fact I did it almost unconsciusly is kind of weird. After so much time thinking in all of my movements in the water...

I'll keep working on this.

Thank you.

Hi Tomasz:
Sorry about the confusion. In this drill you get four strokes to make it 25-yards. You can use them whenever you want, and in between you can kick on your back, or side. The idea is to get your body and brain working toward being more streamlined and maximizing each stroke. I usually use up three strokes right after I push off and then save the last one for when I've gently kicked almost to the wall.

Hi Luis, please explain me something. When you say "Now, swim 25-yards in four strokes" you mean that after four strokes I have to stop, and then start again and do another four strokes?
Thank you four your kind reply.
