Default Best Way To Prep For Ti Workshop

Hello all,
I'm attending a TI workshop this weekend. Any tips or hints on how to get the most out of this experience. I've watched the videos and reskimmed parts of the book, but to be honest, i'm still not getting it and that's why i'm going to the workshop. Thanks in advance.

Hi txhigolfer,

Great to hear you will be attending workshop, it will be well worth your investment in time and money. Reread sections on balance and streamline if you have time. Go into the workshop with open mind and willing spirit and you will "get it" within the first hour. Be prepared for hands on in the pool; coaches will put you into correct position and you will immediately feel and understand those "aha" moments heading your way.

Enjoy the workshop!

Stuart

I've been to quite a few workshops of different flavors. In the end, I can say that anything I prepared wasn't all that relevant or--in other words--what there is to learn, you will probably learn.
There'll always be at least one person more clueless than you and the important stuff will be reiterated for that guy or gal. :)

Just make sure that you remember or write down the recommendations that are specific to your swimming. Apart from that, the only rule seems to be to enjoy the experience. So, have fun! :)

yeah it is a TON of information delivered in a short amount of time. bring a notebook and after every in-the-pool session, make sure you pull out that notebook asap and write down everything that you can remember was said. during breaks and lunch time, corner the workshop coaches and ask them to help remember cues/comments they gave you, and to check your recollection of instruction and focal points.

get the coach email addresses ask nicely if they will answer questions later, if they come up.

workshops vary in technology, but most will give you before/after videos. if they use digital presentations, sometimes they will give you those as well.

good luck and enjoy the workshop!
