Sidelined for Two Weeks
On my last video posting I got several good suggestions to improve my recovery and breathing--swin and nod, L and R skate, also swing skate and zen switches (or marionette arm).
Anyway I guess I must have over did something because I strained a muscle (rhomboid maybe?). I am now on muscle relaxers and prednisone. The doctor suggested I lay off freestyle for 2 weeks.
I want to still make some progress with TI and as long as I don't use my right arm, the doc said it was ok to do whatever drills I want. So far I figure I can still practice the basic balance drills--SG and such and maybe incorporate the 2BK with the SG. I guess the skate drills would be ok also. Might also be a good time to practice turns.
I'm sure that I am not the first to have injured their shoulder or back, so any other suggestions would be appreciated.
