Richard,

How can you go to a swim if you don't travel there. Common, a flight over the Atlantics to join a 1500 meter OW swim in Wales must be worth every penny. If you go, I go!

I don't have to fly across the Atlantic to get to Llandudno. I would just have to drive up to North Wales. I can swim in the sea here if I want to and although I would be prepared to travel the same distance or more to swim in a masters meet and swim a good number of events, somehow it doesn't seem worth it to travel that distance just to swim in an open water event.

If you fancy it, here is a link:

Of course I might reconsider if a small bunch of TI swimmers were to sign up and maybe some of the local swimmers here could get up a party. I'll make enquiries at the pool with the keen types.

On checking the date I discovered the Llandudno sea swim clashes with the British masters Championships, which will take precedence if I decide to enter, and I probably will, as it's a three-day meet with all the freestyle events, all the breaststroke events and all the backstroke events - and a few others that I can't enter because of not being able to swim butterfly. Those I can enter will provide a fairly full program.
