I think Mindfulness is an excellent topic for a new conference. Yes it is intertwined with everything else - but so is breathing, which has its own conference. Mindfulness is important enough and distinct enough to have its section on the forum.

I would avoid titles that are too clever and/or obscure - that will just lead to confusion & inappropriate postings. To me the most clear title would just be - "Mindfulness" or "Mindful Swimming"

One thing I think should be made as clear as possible - Mindfulness (to me anyway) is not some vague "new age'" floaty drug-like state. It is about being very aware of what you are doing. In my own case I have been doing a lot of experiments, self-monitoring, and problem-solving in my swimming lately. I think all of this comes squarely under the heading of Mindfulness.

(Of course if anyone disagrees, we can debate it within the conference!)

Default No Brain, No Gain

Call the new conference, "No Brain, No Gain." It was on Coach Mike Daley's TI t-shirt.

I like it!

It's interesting to consider that the brain is not only a thinking organ, but also a sensory organ. Without the brain providing awareness, a fully functional eye would be blind, the ear would be deaf, and so on. After awareness comes thought.

Then again, I might have just proven myself brainless. hehe

I deleted a few posts recently, not because I messed up, but due to other psychological/philosophical/emotional reasons. haha

Default Psychology of Swimming

How about "Psycho Swimming"? Inspired by the name "Psycho-phone." Short for "The Psychology of Swimming." On second though, just "Psychology of Swimming" would be good.
