Default Quick question on breathing

Hi Folks,

Just a quick question at present I am breathing to one side (right) on a four count, some times two. I am trying to breath bi-laterally to not ruin my balance in the water.

Here's the question, is bi-lateral breathing the optimum for keeping up endurance? I'm doing okay with a four count, but still a little winded at times after ten or more laps consecutively. Appreciate the help!

I guess it's personal, but to me the most effective is to breathe on every 2 count.

This means that you will breathe on only one side, so if you want to mix it up switch sides after each lap.

You can also breathe to one side about half way down ,then take three strokes and finish the rest of the lap breathing to the other side. If your after endurance breathe more often.
