Default It's been a good year...

Today, I got into the pool to do my favorite work-out, a nice easy/leisurely mile in a 25 meter pool. I don't usually count strokes on this work-out, nor do I often time it. Today, at lap 20 and lap 55, I counted SPL and got 13! Comparing the "feel" of those laps to others, I think I did each lap in 15 or less (maybe a 16 in there occasionally).
What's exciting to me about that is that a year ago, I was excited when all the lengths were under 20 SPL. What a yaer and journey it's been.
Now if I could only get my 100 meter time to 1:20 or less...

you should make a competition about who spends the less energy and not about who swims faster ;)

that's awesome dobarton! I need to learn how to have a consistent tempo during a long swim. Although I've managed to achieve a much more effortless feeling in the water, I do tend to slightly change tempo throughout, which of course affects SPL. I know for instance that my lap 55 definitely has more strokes than my lap 20!

Congrats again on your fantastic progress over the past year.
