Default Been there, done that

I had to do that with my Jr Red Cross as I recall. I was minimum age so I guess being young helped. Ok, now we got a post in this area.

What level of Red Cross was that? The most I ever recall being tested on was a 50m swim in under a certain time (I flunked). That was Bronze Medallion, I think.

You know, it's been sooooooo long ago, I really don't know if it was a mile but that's what I remembered. I could be wrong but this area looked like it needed someone to get SOMETHING going.

As I said, I was the minimum age and I'm 55 now so it was a while ago. I went through all the levels of the YMCA swim program during one summer so I was a relatively good swimmer at the time. I remember that, when we did the required underwater swim, I didn't come up until I reached the shore and the instructors were all starting to panic because I'd been down so long. No one else was anywhere close.

I'm sure you're right, I'm just remembering it wrong after all this time for sure but it was a lengthy open water swim.
