Default Paltrinieri will debut in OW

It's official: Gregorio Paltrinieri is going to debut on the 10k on March 26th in Israel. The following week he will also swim a 1500 to qualify for the next world championships. This will be a good test not only for the 10k but also to assess whether he can fit both races in a few days (the schedule at Tokyo 2020 will be the same).

After Rio 2016, the goal for the next 4 years toward Tokyo 2020 is to compete both in the pool (where he'll have to defend his gold on the 1500) and open water.

For this first test his coach said that they didn't change anything on Gregorio's training program: they estimate that his daily 16km that he is already doing to prepare the 1500 should be enough for the 10k as well.

So, for those of you who are swimming 16k everyday, if you want to sign up for a 10k you don't need to increase your volume, good.
