Default Rate my newbie swimming

Hi all,

Sorry for the bad video taken by my wife from hotel room veranda.

https://youtu.be/S5F3iQahtDY

But could you give brief hints of what should I improve first or primarily.
Quickly glance at it I saw that my head position is still not good when breathing, and my lefthand is not consistent.

Thanks beforehand.

Your swim looks pretty good . Like you mentioned watch your head position and also your arm entry looks too narrow so try to slip your arms in to the water a little wider so they are more in front of the shoulder .

One question:
Is my raised head position when breathing might be due to - among other thing - my lead hand is pushing down too quickly (not patient enough) ?

Thanks

Hello bujanglocal,

question was not for me... but I can't analyze this by your video (too far away and not an under water view). Swimming with a relaxed, aligned and ultra stable head is one of the (more the) most important foundation.

So I'd suggest the other way round: Focus on your head (see above) and then be aware what in your stroke will disturb it.

Best regards,
Werner

6 months after, I'm still slow like someone is pulling me from behind :-).

Sorry the video doesn't show my leg, but could you please give me any comments and/or recommendation?
Just to be more efficient and bit quicker with similar effort.

Thanks beforehand.
