Truly inspiring thank you for posting this Richard! Even with all four limbs I wouldn't be able to hang with the winner or any of the other competitors! Just amazing athletes. :)

Yes indeed. It makes me wonder how my strokes would improve if I spent some time (a lot of time, I imagine) honing my skills at body dolphin, flutter kick and breaststroke kick. I would be nowhere near this chap at the moment, swimming full stroke.

This is so amazing.
Imagine finishing the backstroke lap in a race knowing you are gone hit it with your head without seeing the wall !

It is true that this man's turns and finishes are almost as amazing as his swimming, and he must have a skull of steel.

This article addresses the issue of talent identification. it is perhaps not strictly relevant to TI swimmers, who have to work with what they've got, since there is little we can do about the size of our feet and hands, or the length of our limbs. We can of course modify our girth to some extent, an ongoing project in my case.

with the reservation given above, I think those of us interested in the scientific approach to swimming will find it of value.
