Default Swimming next to the pool wall...

...For a moment I was thinking this would help me spear forward. The idea is of course to swim with wide tracks and ensure the hand stays on track.

But if the spearing arm spears along the track, and the catch hand is supposed to pull/push back along the track, does this drill work?

I potentially see 2 problems:

1. During the recovery phase, the elbow| forearm|hand are outiside of track (so you would hit the wall)
2. If the Catch/Pull hand is moving back on the track line, then the elbow would be outside of this line also hitting the wall

Is this correct ? Thanks. ALEX

Default Wide Track

I use lane lines especially to prevent cross over. I did use pool wall to help get rid of a scissors kick.
