Awareness in swimming
For a while I had been thinking of awareness of body movements and how we can improve on it while swimming. In one of the threads I heard Shinji saying " I use my sensors to find reactions from the water. And I compare them with my standards, which were acquired when I swim best. If there are gaps between them, there must be some problems. Then I try to specify them and find causes. Then I fix them."
Drills help you to focus on specific body parts and hence are excellent in that aspect. But when it comes to whole stroke swimming how do you think we can train ourselves to be more aware of the some of the unconscious movements that we are more than likely are guilty off, which can be a hindrance to efficient swimming?Especially if we are swimming and we don't have a coach to look at or Video analysis for immediate feedback, how should one improve?
