Default Motivation

I'm back in Kona for the holidays and had my first swim here since October. I love that any morning I can go down to the pier and find someone to swim with. This morning there were clouds in the distance when I started out with 3 new swimming friends. Just before the 1/2 mile buoy it started to rain. No big deal, I'm already wet. At the buoy we stopped. In the far distance we could see a little funnel cloud start to form. As we watched it start to dissappear it started to thunder. Instead of going on we headed back early. Quickly, very quickly. It's hard to stay relaxed when you think about lightning. All I could think was "stay long, you'll go faster." While we were on the pier we watched lightning hit the water.

Yikes, that is scary! A good reason to learn to sprint!
