Default Backpain with breastroke

I seem to get back pain when my head comes up for air in the breastroke. I'm wondering if I just don't have the back extension flexibility for this stroke. Is your back supposed to arch when you come up? Is there anything I can do to create a less sharp angle like maybe dropping my hips deeper? Anyone have a similar problem?

I don't think and notice my back arch/bend when breath. Or maybe I misunderstand your situation?
Do you mean you feel difficulty when breathing?
If you emphasis undulation in your breaststroke, it really need some level of back flexibility, but not when you breath.
