Default Getting mojo back

Before April I had a decent stroke and competed in an open water race about once a month. Then I received a breast cancer diagnosis. Although I was back in the water 3 weeks after surgery and swam through radiation and Chemo my stroke didn't feel right and my stamina was gone. I finished my last Chemo 2 weeks ago. A couple of days ago my stroke came together again. I hated coming to the wall. I made myself get out of the pool while my stroke still felt good. I wanted to relive the feeling between practices. I got back into the pool this morning and the stroke quickly came back. Yeah! Now just have to work on the stanima.
I signed up for a 1.2 mile race next Saturday in Kona. I know my time will be no where near last year's but it will feel so good to be back in the ocean competing.

Welcome back, ewa.swimmer -- nice to see you here again. Glad to hear you are recovering and back in the water.

I'm interested to hear how you go about rebuilding your stamina.
