When I tell people about Total Immersion, and I tell lots, my favorite introduction line is. "check out Total Immersion.net - it is not a Baptist website rather a great website about learning and mastering swimming.

Some of the most recognized company names have no literal connection to what the company does - Google for instance.

Total Immersion is a great name for a swim company but our information overloaded world needs easy tags to latch on to, especially with respect to web addresses.

That's why these companies have short one word names, Apple, Google, Yahoo, Nike.

I would just consider using tiswim more prominently in future with specific regards to the web site. It has a sharper recall, especially for non native speakers.

Yeah... the URL is sub-optimal. But it doesn't make sense to change it now. Certainly tiswim.com is catchy as a re-direct.

I'd like to see a TI Efficiency Calculator on the WEB Site.
INPUTS: Height/wingspan, Weight, SR=1.35, SPL over 50m LAP, T
OUTPUT: Some TI Rating on a scale from 1-10.

For Example I have a SPL=40 per 50m LAP, @SR=1.35, T=54sec
I estimate Shinji to have SPL=31 per 50m LAP, @SR=1.35, T=42sec

The Calculator could say: ALEX: 6/10 (Intermediate), SHINJI=10/10 (Advanced) and perhaps provide some recommendations on how to bridge the GAP.

ALEX
If not a TI CALCULATOR, at least some one Tables one can refer to (SR vs. SPL with coloured areas to illustrate TI Levels (Beginner, Intermediate, Good, Advanced,...) )

Default Website updates

How about a dictionary of lingo definitions for the neophyte? What's a lap? A length? Is a stroke the motion of just one arm or both, making a set? etc.

[quote=CoachSuzanne;24206]Terry, countless times in teh recent past I've suggested to people that the purchase adn watch the 10 Lesson series...rather than scour youtube for bad examples of great things. And I get the question, "Where can I learn more about this?"

I would reccomend automatic spell check
