Default swim help Open Water

I am a fairly new member of this society for TRI's and could sure use some help in the Columbia S.C. area swim at Lake Murray and congaree river

my BIO is this 53 year old male, 3 College age kids screaming " I NEED MONEY " I run close to 3.5 miles various terrains, bike 20-25 miles various terrains, swim 50 yards :-( so you see my dilemma I'm in the water close to 3 days a week.

ANY help would be great

Welcome to TI and to the forum - and to the sport of triathlon!

Your best start is to purchase Ultra Efficient Freestyle Self Coaching Tool Kit. Select this link:

Also, pick up Outside the Box (eBook). Select this link:

These are both excellent resources and you will go a long way building a solid platform and learn to swim with comfort and ease. Get stable and comfortable swimming longer distances in the pool before attempting open water swimming. Post any questions you may have as you go through the process.

Enjoy your journey!
