excellent self-managed pain relief book
Everybody who takes their sport seriously hurts. A few years ago, I discovered The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Clair Davies (subsequent editions by Clair & Amber Davies). Trigger points are little hot spots in your muscles that cause myofacial pain (local and referred) - and which have been scientifically (empirically) proven to exist. This science has been ignored/suppressed because you can heal yourself without drugs or health experts, and therefore are not supporting the allopathic medical industry. Headaches, shoulders, neck, knees, low back, locked thumbs... it works, and I've helped myself and many others. The book is well-laid out and easy to read & understand (even with the medical names for muscles). I’ve given copies to a dozen friends and family members. It’s a gift at around $20, so do yourself a favour and buy it.
