![]() I would say that it's okay as long as your elbow is not bending before your hand enters the water ,but you can practice a bit of overlap where the bottom arm begins to pull when the recovery arm is about 30 degrees over the water. The palm may face down somewhat initially upon entry but should face your feet as you begin your catch as you reach outward and then moves directly toward your feet. Remember Terry's saying (slice wrap wrestle and throw).

![]() Thanks guys everything seems to be working thus far. I guess with more practice I will try to refine my stroke. I am much more comfortable in the water.
