That's a really tough injury to recover from. I had torn rotator (ice hockey related injury) and took about two months of biweekly PT sessions before getting back in pool. Luckily no surgery, but no longer have the range of motion I once had. And even after getting back to pool (after 2 months of PT), could no longer swim longer than 20, 30 mins in warm pool - deep shoulder ache, but that was before TI. Once learning how to take pressure off shoulders, engage core and swim with entire body - no more pain, and now easily swim for hours, 10k+ What level or how long have you been practicing/swimming Total Immersion? Have you taken workshop, self-coached?
