Chi Running

I can't say enough about Chi running. Ive turned so many of my students on to it and they are all giving me positive feedback. I train beginner and intermediate triathletes.

The Glove

Energy transfer
Brad,
The pulse that we sense when WS is done in sync is a wonderful feeling. It can be illusive though, especially when we are concentrating on so many different "bits" of info. Rubbing you belly...

Assimilate to the environment
Brad,
If you can't train in OW then the next best thing is to get in the OW whenever possible. Train in the pool but get out in the OW when ever you can. Ive seen too many excellent swimmers...

Spear
Ged,
All good comments about your stroke and you do look comfortable and relaxed. I would only add that the reason for your head bobbing is because for a brief moment in the placement of your hands...

1st OW swim with 910xt
Can anyone tell me if they've used the distance alarm or the time alarm during an open water swim? I am curious to know if the vibration feature can be felt during the stroke?

Refinement
What I see is a very nicely composed stroke. As someone mentioned, the curvature in the lower back could be reduced thereby straightening the spine. A very subtle tuck in the sacrum can help in this...

I typically train for a goal or and event. I give myself plenty of latitude, like you did, to alter my routine the farther away the event is. As I get closer to the event, I try to increase my...

Patient hands
One of the fundamental concepts that TI teaches us is the importance of fore/aft balance. The recovery arm and hand need to be forward of the head while maintaining the spear/skate position. This in...
