2b kick

Arnaud and Coach Bob,

My understanding is that the 2 beat kick is not used for the back stroke. It is typically a 6 beat kick. Rather than ever using a kick board, I often go from sweet spot left on my back to...

Lennart, CoachSuzanne, and Terry,

Lennart, I hope I am not getting off the point of your tempo trainer question per the repetition of the 400 yards. I too am often disappointed at my times based on...

Yann,

I do apply the armpit pressure focal point during drills. On page 90 of Terry's triathlon swimming made easy book, he talks about using zipper skate to "lie on your lungs". For some reason,...

Yann,

Just wanted to correct my consistent incorrect spelling of buoy. I must be using a computer (without spell check) for too long.

When I apply this pressure to the arm pit area correctly it...

Yann

This is my first post so you may want to check my comments versus more experienced swimmers. Relaxed neck and "weightless" head are key as you have pointed out. Another thing that I would...

Not sure this is a reply, more like another breathing question. I can swim relatively long distances in the pool if need be (i.e. 2 miles+) but I am slow. I try to alternate side breath but also...

This is my first posting. Yes, I get leg and foot cramps. I have usually been told it is a hydration / potassium level issue and that I should drink more water and eat my banana. The additional...
