I recently saw a bloke doing effortless no splash 11 strokes per 25m in my pool. The swim squad coach and the pool manager were watching with their mouths open. The manager said to me "I don't know...

ZT I've discovered that a squirt and rinse of the wash foam in the changing shed keeps my goggles clear for a whole swim. I've used the same goggles for two seasons, no problem.

And now for something totally different
Easter Monday was a beautiful day here. There has been little rain and the river is clear. There was a big tide so I decided to swim at the sailing club. Sandy bottom, plus one metre of water, what...

Remember the early TI videos. there's one of Terry's daughter swimming in the sea and she is definitely cross crawling, big 2bk. Terry has steadily retreated to a modest toe flick since.
All summer...

Forward impulse
Hi Talvi from the Southern Hemisphere.
I'm in no position to give advice and others do it much better. I desperately need a weekend of coaching. Most of my summer swimming is in a river estuary in...

This winter I took fins to the pool and swam with my legs held straight behind me. As I rotated I was amazed at the load on my opposing foot. Now back in the summer estuary I find myself thinking of...

I'm enjoying this discussion. I am 74, with the usual age related challenges. If I'm to continue to swim into my 80's ease is my main mission. This winter I've been pushing gently off the end of the...

I've got a 2 mm cheapee and I love it. Not too much buoyancy. good stretch, easy to get in and out of, moderate warmth, neutral balance, seems robust. Feel like I'm up front with the Brownlee bros....

Danny, I agree that physics says we must anchor against something. It seems to me that in this exercise we are turning against the inertia of our thighs and legs. We have to isolate the core rotation...
