Catch up drill

I am starting to practice catch up drills to try and improve my balance/breathing and I have a simple question.

Do you think the held out hands should be held in the TI skate position or in the more horizontal position that I see in youtube videos?

TI doesn't teach catchup drill...
Skate, spear switch, swing skate swing switch will reinforce body rotation, timing, recovery arm position and lead hand position.

Do you mean that TI does not advocate getting propulsion through catch.
