Time trainer & batteries
 

Hello all,

my time trainer (this little electronic gadget from Finis, Inc. offered also in the TI shop which gives a constant pace) stopped giving its beep. This is for sure the battery. An internet search hints that it isn't possible to exchange batteries!! Is this true? They mean it is necessary to buy a new device whenever the battery dies??? Disappointing at least...

The battery in the tempo trainer is not replaceable because it wouldn't be water proof once you opened it to change the battery. With regular use, they should last about 1 year per Finis. If the one you have "died" prematurely, contact the place you purchased it or Finis directly for an exchange. I've had to do this, because for whatever reason, I do not have a lot of luck with them lasting very long, but that supposedly is not the norm.

Thanks. I think they should point to this in their site, I wasn't aware of it as I bought the gadget.

I have one that I bought about 4 months ago. It no longer works. I will not buy another one. Are they made in China?
